Marcel.lí Oriol pasó todo el invierno de 1992 combinando tejanos con americana. Cuando llegó la primavera y empezó a apretar el calor en Vilanova i la Geltrú hizo como todos y se enganchó la americana, bien doblada hacia fuera, en el brazo. Este dejó a la vista el culo de sus tejanos, y al verlo reflejado en un vidrio frente al Mercat Public del Centre no se quedó nada convencido. Esa forma tan rara de los bolsillos tan arriba y por fuera, esas costuras, y las nalgas tan apretadas. Rápidamente lanzó sus ojos a los culos más próximos. Exceptuando un gran porcentaje de mujeres, al menos un 78,3% según sus cálculos posteriores, y un reducido número de hombres, el 16,7% según el mismo cálculo, el resto lucía el mismo ridículo trasero que él. Un talle alto y el tiro con tendencia a meterse entre las nalgas, como si estas quisiesen comerse el pantalón, los bolsillos en la parte de arriba de la curva del culo, todo tan raro y hecho con tan mala idea. Marcel.lí Oriol pasó las Olimpiadas de Barcelona sumido en su estudio de culos y tejanos sin prestar mucha atención a los metales que ganaban sus compatriotas, madurando algunas ideas más favorecedoras. Sin embargo, y pese a todo el esfuerzo taxonómico que realizó, los tejanos Oriol Jeans fueron un estrepitoso fiasco empresarial. Tenían una cintura tan baja que al agacharse dejaban visible el inicio de las nalgas.

I find interesting how many people worry about; How freelance people can survive with independent projects and jobs. I will start to collect answer I find interesting and I will post it here. I must leave clear that I feel respect for people who have decided to live then own way. They are my HEROES !!! Today I start with Mrs. Jordan who has this very nice and fresh blog called Oh ! happy day. She is a party planner and letterpress printer. She has move from San Francisco to Paris with her family .This answer you can find it in her FAQS section.

How do you guys make money?

I get this question a lot! I make some money from advertising on Oh Happy Day but most of my income comes from writing for other websites and projects that I promote on my blog like letterpress. It took a long time to get to a place where we were working for ourselves. We drove a 2001 Honda Civic for years and years (we don’t currently have a car.) And we lived in a one bedroom apartment where our kids slept in a closet. We work really hard and then we try to take smart risks that feel a little scary in order to grow.

Supermama is a fantastic project run by Edwin a Meiling in Singapore. They aim to remind us how beautiful is to enjoy the experience of growing with attention. Brother Grimm Contest

We would like to thank everyone who participated in the contest The Grimm Brothers. This first edition consisted in a wide selection of unique works from artists from the five continents. By zebraBooks is proud to announce that the winner of the contest is the illustrator Margarita Hernandez from Spain. Her submission surprised and impressed the jury by the way her illustrations combined a graphic language that conveyed a unique aesthetic with an original and creative view of one of the most popular Grimm Brothers' stories. Images of her work based on The Little Red Riding Hood are show below. These illustrations will be part of the exhibition "200 Jahre der Kinder und Hausmärchen Jubiläum" to take place in the city of Marburg, Germany in 2012. An interview with the winner will be posted next week.

“Brothers Grimm books have inspired and continue to inspire authors all over the world. Besides the fantastic source of inspiration Brothers Grimm books are in themselves, there is a illustration prizes in them names”.

We invite all those artists and publishers interested to submit their published or unpublished work related or base on any tales from the Grimms Brothers to participate in the Bruder Grimm Action # 1.
This is a competition that arises to support creativity and innovation in contemporary illustration.
The contest is aimed to artists, designers and illustrators of any nationality working and practicing within the art field. Participants will have the opportunity to display their work in an exhibition that will take place in the state of Hessen, Germany this coming summer. The project is sponsored by ZebraBooks, a company dedicated to identify and promote different international artists and artistic groups, who venture into the arts with new trends and thrive on innovation. For this event by ZebraBooks will be working in collaboration with different institutions that encourage, sponsor and ultimatly promote artistical tradition and imagination. The winning entries will be selected by an international representative jury composed by distinguished members of various sectors, intellectual, artistic, cultural and political such as publishers, professional artists, art critics, designers and members of various institutions concerned with the legacy of the Grimm Brothers.

Submission and conditions for the entries.

1.-Entries submission.

The submission work must be accompanied by the application form (attached), which must be completed in full by the participant.

- Format:

All Illustration to be submitted in paper only. The following formats are accepted:

A3 format (420 x 297 mm), A4 (297 x 210 mm) or A5 (148 x 210 mm).

-Amount:

The number of "originals" drawings is unlimited and must be a sequence or series that can be done in up to 8 sheets at any of the specified formats .

-Subject

The artworks can submit their published or unpublished work related or base on any tales from the Grimms Brothers ("Rumpelstiltskin", "Snow White", "Sleeping Beauty", "Rapunzel", "Cinderella", "Hansel and Gretel", "The Frog Prince",...).

2.- Entries fees.

The cost of each submission is 20 euros, this includes the admission cost and the shipment fees (Submitted works will be return to applicants upon request). Application fee to be pay via Paypal to the following account:
